The Victorian Municipal Building Surveyors Group offers different levels of membership. Please select the membership level you are applying for:

Membership Type

Member: Member of the Association has held the position of Municipal Building Surveyor at the time of the application for membership. Membership status remains (unless upgraded) regardless of current or future positions. Member fee: $725 inc. gst Associate member: Associate members of the Association include (a) an Assistant Building Surveyor, Building Inspector, Cadet Building Surveyor, Technical Officer or the like that has completed an approved course in building surveying, building inspection, or building inspector (pool safety) and employed by a council at the time of the application for membership; and (b) any person that is not eligible for membership in any other category at the time of the application for membership; and (c) any other category of member as determined by special resolution of the Committee. Associate member fee: $375 inc. gst Student member: means a member of the Association that is currently studying an approved course in building surveying, building inspection, or building inspector (pool safety) and employed by a council at the time of the application for membership. Student member fee: $175 inc. gst Retired member: means a member of the Association has held membership in a in any of the above categories of membership prior to retirement. Membership status remains (unless upgraded) regardless of current or future positions. Retired member fee: $175 inc. gst Corporate / Non-council member: means a member of the Association that is an organisation which, under the Corporations Act 2001, can be a company, body corporate, or a certain kind of unincorporated body at the time of the application for membership. Corporate / Non-council member fee: $1360 inc. gst

Renewing members: An invoice for your membership subscription shall be sent within 48 business hours of your submitting of this membership form.

New members: All new membership applications require review and approval by the VMBSG committee. You will be notified of the outcome of your application and an invoice sent accordingly.
