Vujan specialises in building regulation, and advising State and Local government clients, boards, statutory authorities and private clients. He represents clients in the Building Appeals Board and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, as well as the Magistrates’ Court and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Vujan has specialist knowledge of the Victorian building regulatory framework, including plumbing, engineering, architectural and electrical laws, as well as national building laws. He works with Local government, regulatory authorities and private clients in dispute resolution, litigation, appeals and reviews.
Section 121 of the Building Act grants Municipal Building Surveyors (MBS) the authority to cause work to be carried out when necessary. However, this power comes with challenges, particularly when the costs of these works exceed the MBS's financial authority or the Council’s budget.
